The
Weekend Academy is currently working primarily with schools and youth. The
Weekend Academy supports partner working with organisations working with young
people.

of funding for partner projects.
The Weekend Academy initiates groundbreaking and pioneer work with young people
at risk.
The Weekend Academy works with families, carers and young people outside formal
education.
Current work with students excluded from schools
The
Weekend Academy is currently working with students from Pupil Referral and
Learning Support Units in Haringey, Camden and Islington. The Calouste Gulbenkian
Foundation is funding a groundbreaking project to develop skills for staff
from PRUs and LSUs, to enable them to work with artists in their units. The
project continues into 2007, piloting teachers’ work-books for animation
and painting courses. These
